How to Get There

• Flying In: You will fly into San Francisco International Airport (SFO). It is a massive global hub and offers direct flights from virtually everywhere. Alternatively, Oakland International Airport (OAK) is just across the bay and serves as a major hub for Southwest Airlines, which can sometimes offer cheaper domestic fares.

• Airport Transit: From SFO, take the BART (Bay Area Rapid Transit) Yellow Line directly into the city. From OAK, you can take the BART connecting train to the main line into San Francisco. Both options bypass the notoriously heavy Bay Area highway traffic. While that can make car rental difficult, SFO has many good options if you plan on driving north or south of the city.

Where to Stay

Chase Center is located in the rapidly developing Mission Bay neighborhood, situated right on the water just south of Oracle Park (home of the Giants). Staying in Mission Bay or the adjacent SoMa (South of Market) neighborhood gives you incredible waterfront walkability and easy transit access.

Budget/Mid-Range Options

• Hyatt Place San Francisco/Downtown: Located just a block from Oracle Park, this is an incredibly convenient, clean, and modern option. It provides a free hot breakfast and is about a 15-minute walk down 3rd Street to Chase Center. You can typically book this for 15,000 to 20,000 World of Hyatt points per night.

• LUMA Hotel San Francisco: Situated right in the heart of Mission Bay, this is an ultra-modern, tech-forward lifestyle hotel (they even use robot butlers for room deliveries). It features a fantastic Latin-inspired rooftop bar and puts you just a 10-minute walk from the arena gates.

Higher-End Options

• The St. Regis San Francisco: Located in the SoMa district right next to the SFMOMA, this is the pinnacle of luxury. It offers legendary St. Regis butler service, high-end dining, and is a very quick Muni ride or rideshare down to the arena. Redemptions generally hover around 70,000 to 100,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

• W San Francisco: Also located in SoMa, this property offers a vibrant, highly stylized luxury experience. It features a great living room bar and keeps you closely connected to both the downtown shopping district and the transit lines running to Mission Bay. Expect to use 50,000 to 70,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

Nearby Activities

• Thrive City: You don't even have to leave the arena footprint to find entertainment. Thrive City is the massive, 3.2-acre community gathering space surrounding Chase Center. It is packed with restaurants, retail shops, and a massive outdoor LED screen.

• Spark Social SF: Located just a few blocks from the arena in Mission Bay, this is a massive outdoor food truck park and beer garden. It features fire pits, a rotating list of incredible local food vendors, and a highly social atmosphere.

• The Embarcadero: Walk the waterfront path from Mission Bay north toward the Ferry Building. It offers stunning views of the Bay Bridge and is a classic San Francisco experience, while the Ferry building offers numerous food and snack options.

Pregame Food and Drink

• Harmonic Brewing at Thrive City: Located right on the plaza outside Chase Center, this massive taproom offers incredible craft beer, fantastic views of the bay, and a buzzing pregame atmosphere where you can literally stare at the arena doors.

• Gott's Roadside: Also located in Thrive City, this is a legendary Bay Area staple. Grab one of their famous burgers, a side of garlic fries, and a milkshake before heading through security.

• Underdogs Cantina: Situated right across from the Oracle Park footprint (an easy walk to Chase Center), this sports bar features incredible tacos, massive margaritas, and dozens of TVs.

Getting to the Event

• Muni (Free Transit!): San Francisco offers one of the best transit perks in sports: your Chase Center event ticket serves as your free Muni fare all day. The T Third Street line and the S Shuttle drop you off at the UCSF/Chase Center station, which sits directly on the arena plaza. Simply show your digital game ticket if asked by a fare inspector.

• Walking: If you stay at LUMA Hotel or the Hyatt Place, walking south along 3rd Street or Terry A Francois Boulevard offers a safe, easy, and scenic route to the gates.

• Rideshare: There are dedicated rideshare drop-off and pick-up zones located along Terry A Francois Boulevard, but be prepared for heavy surge pricing post-game. Driving your own car is highly discouraged due to extreme traffic and incredibly expensive parking.

Where to Sit at Chase Center

• The Warriors Bench: The home team sits in front of Courtside Sections 2 and 3 (with Sections 102 and 103 directly behind them).

• Away Fans: If you are traveling to support the visiting team, you want to target Courtside Sections 4 and 5 (with Sections 104 and 105 directly behind them).

• The Premium Club Experience: For elite luxury, look for seats in the Sideline Clubs (Sections 101-106 and 113-118). Ticketholders on the west side gain access to the massive United Globe Club, while east-side ticketholders get access to the two-story Ultra Club. Both offer high-end culinary options and full bars. If you are seated in Sections 2-23, you get access to the ultra-exclusive Chase Club, which features an all-inclusive premium food and beverage setup.

• The Sweet Spot: To get great lower-bowl energy without the massive center-court club prices, look at the corner sections: Sections 107, 112, 119, or 124.

• The Budget Seats: The 200-level offers the most affordable tickets. Chase Center is a relatively new, state-of-the-art building, meaning sightlines from the upper deck are excellent and unobstructed. For the best center-court perspective at a lower price point, target Sections 208-210 or 222-224.
