Getting to Seattle & The Ballpark

• Flying In: Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) is the primary hub, heavily serviced by Alaska Airlines and Delta. Because Seattle is the most geographically isolated MLB city, flying is by far the best option unless you are road-tripping from Oregon or Idaho.

• Airport Transit: Do not bother renting a car or paying for an expensive rideshare. The Link Light Rail runs directly from the airport terminal to the Stadium Station. It is incredibly clean, takes about 30 minutes, drops you right next to the ballpark, and costs only about $3.

• The Neighborhood: T-Mobile Park is located in the SoDo (South of Downtown) neighborhood, directly adjacent to Lumen Field (home of the Seahawks). While the immediate stadium footprint is mostly industrial, the historic and vibrant Pioneer Square neighborhood is just a short walk north.

Where to Stay

Because the immediate stadium area is highly industrial, hotel options right next to the gates are limited. You can choose to stay right by the stadiums for pure sports convenience, or stay slightly further north in downtown Seattle for better sightseeing.

Budget Options

• Courtyard by Marriott Seattle Downtown/Pioneer Square: Housed in a beautifully renovated early-1900s building, this hotel is located right on the edge of downtown in historic Pioneer Square. It is less than a mile from T-Mobile Park, making it an easy, scenic walk to the game. It features a lobby restaurant, spacious rooms with city or bay views, and is generally bookable for around 35,000 Marriott Bonvoy points per night.

• Silver Cloud Hotel - Seattle Stadium: If your trip is purely focused on sports, this is the absolute best location. It sits directly across the street from T-Mobile Park and steps from Lumen Field. It features a stunning rooftop pool and hot tub overlooking Elliott Bay and the ballpark. The lobby restaurant serves upscale Pacific Northwest cuisine, making it the perfect home base for a sports weekend.

Higher-End Options

• Embassy Suites by Hilton Seattle Downtown Pioneer Square: Located right next to Lumen Field (a short walk to the baseball stadium), this modern hotel offers fantastic views of the stadiums, the city, and the water. As an all-suite hotel, it is perfect for families needing extra space. It offers a free made-to-order hot breakfast and a complimentary evening reception, plus a lower-level indoor pool and an upper sun deck.

• Four Seasons Hotel Seattle: This luxurious 5-star hotel sits in the heart of downtown, just a couple of blocks from Elliott Bay and steps from Pike Place Market. It features a stunning rooftop infinity pool with a bar and fire pits, a full-service spa, and rooms with deep soaking tubs. While it is about a 1.2-mile walk to the ballpark, it offers the absolute pinnacle of luxury and service in the Pacific Northwest.

Nearby Activities

• Pike Place Market: Located about 1.5 miles north of the stadium, this iconic, multi-level public market is a Seattle must-visit. Watch the famous fishmongers throw the daily catch, grab a coffee at the original Starbucks, and enjoy the waterfront views.

• The Space Needle & Seattle Center: Take the Monorail from downtown to the Seattle Center to ride to the top of the iconic Space Needle for panoramic views of Mount Rainier and the Puget Sound.

Pregame Food and Drink

While the immediate stadium footprint is somewhat industrial, the nearby Pioneer Square area offers fantastic pregame options.

• The Sports Bars: The Hawk's Nest is located right across the street from the stadiums. While it is heavily Seahawks-themed, it gets packed with a loud, energetic baseball crowd on game days. Just a block away is Elysian Fields, a massive outpost of the famous Seattle brewery offering great craft beer and elevated pub food.

• Quick & Local Bites: If you want a fantastic, messy pregame sandwich, walk a few blocks south of the stadium to Pecos Pit Bar-B-Que. If you are up near Pioneer Square, grab a quick, healthy bite at Cafe Paloma, a Mediterranean cafe with an outdoor patio.

• The Waterfront Experience: If you want to enjoy fresh Pacific Northwest seafood before the game, head to Elliott's Oyster House on Pier 56. It offers a high-end menu focused on fresh oysters and sweeping views of Elliott Bay.

Getting to the Event

• Transit: The Link Light Rail is the absolute best way to get to the game from anywhere in the city. The Stadium Station drops you just a block away.

• Walking: If you are staying in Pioneer Square or downtown, walking is a fantastic option. It is a scenic, flat walk down 1st Avenue South, usually packed with fellow fans heading to the gates.

• Parking: Driving is generally not recommended. Stadium garages are expensive, and street parking in the SoDo district is heavily restricted on game days. Stick to the Light Rail or rideshare.

Where to Sit at T-Mobile Park

T-Mobile Park features a unique "umbrella" style retractable roof. It does not fully enclose the stadium, but simply slides over the field like a canopy to block the rain. Warning: Because the sides remain open, the stadium can get very cold during early-season or night games, even with the roof closed. Dress warmly!

• The Best Sightlines: The 200-level Club seats behind home plate overhang the lower bowl, putting you incredibly close to the action. These padded seats offer in-seat wait service and some of the best, most comfortable elevated views in baseball.

• Away Fans: If you are cheering for the visiting team, look for Sections 136-139. These lower-level seats put you directly behind the visitor's dugout on the third-base side and offer a perfect view of the massive center-field video board.

• Family-Friendly: Look for tickets in the Center Field Bleachers (Sections 190-193). These are highly affordable, keep you right on the field level, and put you right next to the "Moose Den," where kids can take pictures with the Mariner Moose mascot.

• The Budget Seats: Look for tickets in the upper deck behind home plate (Sections 328-332). Local Tip: Only buy tickets in Rows 1-4. The higher rows in these sections have partially obstructed views due to the staircases.
