Getting to Philadelphia & The Ballpark

• Flying In: Philadelphia International Airport (PHL) is the primary hub, heavily serviced by American Airlines, with plenty of options from Southwest, Delta, and Frontier. It is located just 6 miles from Citizens Bank Park.

• Airport Transit: Because the airport is so close to the stadium and connected mostly via highways, driving a rental car or taking an Uber/Lyft is the absolute quickest and easiest way to get to the area.

• Traveling by Train: If you are coming from the Northeast, taking Amtrak to 30th Street Station (located in downtown Philly, about 6 miles from the park) is fantastic. Philadelphia is just 95 miles from New York City, making it incredibly easy to pair a Phillies game with a trip to see the Mets or Yankees via a short train ride.

Where to Stay

Because Citizens Bank Park is located in the South Philadelphia Sports Complex (alongside Lincoln Financial Field and the Wells Fargo Center), there are almost no hotels immediately next to the stadium. You can choose the one Navy Yard hotel for pure sports convenience, or stay downtown to experience the city.

Getting to the Event

• Public Transit: The absolute best way to avoid traffic is the SEPTA Broad Street Line (the subway). Take the train south and get off at the NRG Station, which drops you less than a block from the stadium gates.

• Parking: Because the Sports Complex was built for massive crowds, parking is abundant and spread across massive surface lots. If baseball is the only event happening that day, parking is a breeze. If you are trying to save cash, you can look for street parking further east of the ballpark, but you will have to walk.

Where to Sit at Citizens Bank Park

• The Best Views: Look for seats in the 200-level (Sections 217-218 and 226-227) directly behind home plate. Because the second deck is perfectly elevated, you get an incredible, unobstructed view of the entire field. Plus, the sections are smaller, meaning fewer people walking by to block your view.

• Away Fans: Philadelphia sports fans are notoriously passionate (and loud). If you are cheering for the visiting team and want to minimize the heckling, buy tickets in Sections 129-131. These seats put you directly behind the visitor's dugout on the third-base side, where other away fans tend to congregate.

• The Budget Seats: Look for tickets in Sections 301-304 in the upper deck of right field. They offer a great, sweeping view of the field and the massive left-field scoreboard. They are also located very close to the family fun areas and a wide variety of concessions.
