Getting to Denver & The Ballpark
Flying In: Denver International Airport (DEN) is the main hub, located about 25 miles east of the city. It is heavily serviced by United and Southwest Airlines, with Frontier also offering a massive number of budget flights.
Airport Transit: Do not bother renting a car. The absolute best way to get to the stadium area is the Denver Airport Rail (A Line). It is a 40-minute, stress-free train ride that drops you directly at Union Station—just a scenic half-mile walk from Coors Field.
The Neighborhood: Coors Field is located in the vibrant Lower Downtown (LoDo) district. This area has been massively revitalized and is packed with parks, restaurants, markets, and social hubs, making it one of the most walkable stadium districts in the country.
Where to Stay
Because Coors Field, Ball Arena (NBA/NHL), and Empower Field at Mile High (NFL) are all located within the same general downtown footprint, staying in LoDo puts you right in the center of the action for a massive sports weekend.

If you want something fast right across from the stadium, grab a slice at Ian's Pizza (famous for their mac and cheese pizza). Want a classic baseball meal? Walk a few blocks south to Biker Jim's Gourmet Dogs for over a dozen types of wild, gourmet hot dogs.
The Massive Sports Bars: ViewHouse Ballpark is an absolute staple just a couple of blocks from the stadium, offering great pub fare and a massive outdoor courtyard.
Craft Beer & Rooftops: You must visit Tap 14 Rooftop Beer Garden. Located half a block from Coors Field, it features 70 Colorado-brewed craft beers on tap and sweeping skyline views.
The Postgame Party: To keep the energy going after the final pitch, head over to Dierks Bentley's Whiskey Row (which took over the famous LoDo's Bar and Grill location). It features an outdoor deck with views of Coors Field and gets packed with Rockies fans looking to socialize late into the night.
Where to Sit at Coors Field
The Best Mountain Views: The Rocky Mountains sit beyond the left-field wall. For the absolute best panoramic views of the mountains and the sunset, buy tickets in the upper deck (300 level) on the first-base side (right field).
Away Fans: If you are traveling to support the visiting team, look for Sections 136-139. These seats put you directly behind the visitor's dugout on the third-base side.
Beat the Heat: If you are attending a sunny day game, the third-base side of the stadium provides the most shade.
Home Run Potential: Because the mile-high elevation artificially inflates home run numbers, sitting in the outfield is always a blast. Grab a seat near the beautiful trees and fountains in center field, or snag a cheap ticket in the Rockpile (the towering center-field bleachers) and wait for a souvenir.
