How to Get There

• Flying In: You will fly into Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT). It is a massive global hub for American Airlines, meaning you can easily find a direct, nonstop flight from almost anywhere in the country.

• Airport Transit: The airport is located just 7 miles west of Uptown Charlotte. While you can take the CATS Sprinter Bus (Route 5) directly from the terminal to the city center for a couple of dollars, taking a 15-minute Uber or Lyft straight to your hotel is significantly faster and very reasonably priced.

Where to Stay

Spectrum Center is located right in the heart of "Uptown" (which is what Charlotte locals call their downtown district). Staying in Uptown gives you completely traffic-free walking access to the arena, world-class museums, and fantastic dining.

• Queen City Quarter: Located just down the street from the arena, this massive mixed-use entertainment complex (formerly known as the EpiCentre) houses multiple bars, restaurants, and a bowling alley, serving as a major hub for Hornets fans before tip-off.

• QC Pour House: If you are willing to take a quick train ride into the nearby South End neighborhood, this massive neighborhood sports pub offers fantastic local craft beer, great food, and a loud, passionate sports atmosphere.

Getting to the Event

• LYNX Blue Line: Charlotte's light rail system is incredibly clean and efficient. If you stay anywhere along the South End or University City corridors, you can take the Blue Line straight to the CTC/Arena Station, which drops you off literally right at the front doors of Spectrum Center.

• Walking: If you book a hotel in Uptown, walking is absolutely the best way to get to the game. The sidewalks are wide, safe, and heavily populated with fans on game nights.

• Driving: Driving into Uptown on a game night can result in significant traffic bottlenecks. If you drive, pre-purchasing a spot in the Center City Green Parking Deck or the 7th Street Station garage will save you from circling the block looking for cash lots.

• The Hornets Bench: The home team sits in front of Section 104.

• Away Fans: If you are traveling to support the visiting team, you want to target Section 106, which sits directly behind the visitor's bench.

• The Premium Club Experience: Spectrum Center offers incredible luxury options. The HondaJet Courtside Club (for courtside ticket holders) features all-inclusive dining and spirits on the event level.
