Carolina Panthers Travel Guide: Bank of America Stadium
Getting to Charlotte & The Stadium
Flying In: Charlotte Douglas International Airport (CLT) is a massive hub for American Airlines, making it incredibly easy to find direct flights from almost anywhere in the country.
Airport Transit: The airport is located just seven miles west of Uptown Charlotte. Renting a car or grabbing a quick rideshare is the absolute most efficient way to get into the city center.
The Neighborhood: Bank of America Stadium is perfectly located right in Uptown Charlotte (the city's downtown district). It is highly walkable, packed with breweries, and beautifully integrated into the city skyline.
Where to Stay
Because the stadium is located right in Uptown, staying downtown is the only move. You can walk to the gates, enjoy the local nightlife, and skip renting a car entirely.
Budget Options
Residence Inn Charlotte Uptown: Located across the street from the stadium in the heart of downtown, this is the perfect hotel for fans focused on the game. It offers basic studios and one- or two-bedroom suites featuring full kitchens, making it excellent for groups and families. It is also close to the Spectrum Center and offers a free local shuttle.
Hyatt House Charlotte City Center: This simple, contemporary hotel is right in the bustling City Center area. It is about 3/4 of a mile from the stadium and less than a half-mile from the NASCAR Hall of Fame. More premium rooms include full kitchens and living areas with sofa beds.
Higher-End Options
Kimpton Tryon Park Hotel: This stylish luxury hotel is just two blocks away from Bank of America Stadium. Rooms feature floor-to-ceiling windows with park or downtown views, large beds, and marble bathrooms with soaking tubs. They also offer free loaner bikes and scooters in the lobby to help you explore Uptown.
Duke Mansion Charlotte: If you want a classic Charlotte experience away from the stadium crowds, this historic 1915 hotel is set on 4.5 acres of gardens with walking paths and fountains. It features just 20 rooms that perfectly combine southern charm and modern luxury.
Nearby Activities
NASCAR Hall of Fame: You cannot visit Charlotte without stopping here. It is a massive, highly interactive museum honoring the history and legends of auto racing, located right in Uptown.
Romare Bearden Park: This stunning, 5.4-acre urban park sits directly across the street from the stadium. It offers incredible views of the skyline and is the perfect place to walk around before heading to the gates.
Pregame Food and Drink
Brevard Court & Latta Arcade: This historic pedestrian alleyway in Uptown is absolutely packed with Panthers fans on game days. Grab a beer at French Quarter Restaurant or Valhalla Pub & Eatery for a shoulder-to-shoulder, rowdy pregame atmosphere.
Rooftop Views: Head to Graham St. Pub & Patio. It is a neighborhood bar located just a few blocks from the stadium featuring an incredible rooftop patio, great bar food, and a fantastic view of the venue.
The Local Breweries: Charlotte has an explosive craft beer scene. While slightly further out in the South End neighborhood (an easy light rail ride away), spots like Sycamore Brewing and Wooden Robot Brewery are elite pregame destinations.
Getting to the Event
Walking: If you are staying anywhere in Uptown, walking is the absolute best way to arrive. The streets fill up with fans in black and blue, making it a fantastic game-day experience.
Public Transit: The LYNX Blue Line light rail is a brilliant option if you are staying in the South End or further out. Ride it to the Brooklyn Village station, which drops you just a few blocks from the stadium.
Where to Sit at Bank of America Stadium
The Best Views: Look for tickets in sideline sections 110-113 and 130-133. Because these sections only have 20 rows, they offer easy access to the concourse, and rows 17-20 provide the absolute best viewpoint of the field. The Silver Club seats in the 300s level are also fantastic premium options.
Beat the Heat: If you are attending an early-season game, sit on the Panthers' side of the field in sections 130-133. The sun sets behind these sections, keeping you in the shade with cooler seats.
Away Fans: If you are cheering for the visiting team, grab seats in sections 110-113. These put you directly behind the visitor's sideline.
Family-Friendly: Sections 137-139 sit right next to a children's area where kids can play on a turf field, try on football equipment, and record play-by-play commentary of highlights.
The Budget Seats: The upper deck offers the cheapest tickets, specifically in sideline sections 513-516 or end zone sections 526-530. Try to secure tickets in rows 1-6 for the best views and easy access to the tunnels at the bottom of the sections.
